The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider (+ my new review format!)

Thursday, September 28, 2017

Good morning! I've decided to change things up around here because I obviously couldn't keep up with how I was doing things before. I have chosen a new review format and will be posting reviews for books I read besides the ones that have been requested.

The Beginning of Everything

Golden boy Ezra Faulkner believes everyone has a tragedy waiting for them—a single encounter after which everything that really matters will happen. His particular tragedy waited until he was primed to lose it all: in one spectacular night, a reckless driver shatters Ezra’s knee, his athletic career, and his social life.

No longer a front-runner for Homecoming King, Ezra finds himself at the table of misfits, where he encounters new girl Cassidy Thorpe. Cassidy is unlike anyone Ezra’s ever met, achingly effortless, fiercely intelligent, and determined to bring Ezra along on her endless adventures.

But as Ezra dives into his new studies, new friendships, and new love, he learns that some people, like books, are easy to misread. And now he must consider: if one’s singular tragedy has already hit and everything after it has mattered quite a bit, what happens when more misfortune strikes?

Book Title: The Beginning of Everything
Author: Robyn Schneider
What I liked: This book was very easy to get in to. I liked Ezra pretty much right away. I don't know what exactly made me love it so much but I did.
What I hated: When Cassidy freaks out and pulls her stunts. I understand she was upset and shocked but, girl. No.
Favorite Character: Ezra for sure
Least Favorite Character: Charlotte. Could not stand her. But I guess that was kind of the point?
Favorite Quote: Okay I read this book last week and already took it back to the library so I've got nothing for this one...
