*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Good morning!

Official synopsis from goodreads:
Hara has not had an easy life. Dragged around the world by her con man of a father and forced to dress as a boy to keep her safe. She has finally gotten away from him when she walks into trouble.
Gideon is a mathematician but that isn't the only thing. He has been kidnapped by revolutionaries and they are about to be in a lot of trouble because they don't know he is also a dragon.
When Hara rescues Gideon she knows he is going to be trouble.
Things get complicated when they accidentally steal a pirate ship and are dragged into a plot to start a war with the Wyvern Empire.

All right I'm going to be perfectly honest, I did not enjoy this book. I tried really hard to get into it but I just wasn't feeling it. I kept imagining Gideon as my 10th grade French teacher, who was like 60, and it was weird. Couldn't get that image out of my mind no matter how much I tried.

I'm not sure if it was a bunch of little things or everything but I just didn't like it. Gideon going after Hara and that whole 'love story' element felt so so forced I had a hard time getting through any of it. I wasn't really into the story line and wasn't a fan of any of the characters.  I was forcing myself to read a few chapters a day because that's all I could get through.

I really loved Nix's other book, Hero is a Man, but this one was not for me.

I gave this book 1 star on goodreads.
